Tracy Rice, LPCC
My goal when you leave each session is that you feel heard and understood, having hope that change is possible. My specialty is giving you the tools to overcome situations and ultimately coming closer to accomplishing your goals and further emerging into the person you are aiming to become.
My favorite quote is “what doesn’t challenge you, won’t change you!” and wow…. doesn’t life give us some challenges! It is my personal belief that we learn the most through our adversities. Instead of seeing adversities as endings or finalities, we can choose to see obstacles as opportunities or momentums to create changes in our lives for ourselves and our families.
I am dedicated to providing professional guidance to help you achieve those things. People have often said that I can read people well, I’m easy to talk to, and they feel comfortable because I have a non-judgmental spirit. Although my professional work experience has trained me well, it is my empathetic nature, and intuitive abilities that allow me to see the bigger, deeper picture to understand you.
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, my professional work experiences include: working with preteens, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, in helping overcome a vast range of challenges. Issues include but are not limited to: relationship conflict resolution, addiction to sobriety, ADHD interventions, increasing positive self-esteem, and overcoming marital struggles. I also have extensive experience in helping individuals to overcome anxiety, decrease depression and providing coping skills for anger. I have been trained in a variety of techniques that can be geared to meet your personal needs. I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, to name only a few.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and leisure activities. My favorite hobbies are yoga, working out and I’m currently learning golf and guitar.
